In a
series of harrowing songs Duryodhana, the sole survivor on the side of the
Kauravas, oversees the terrible results of the conflict and reflects on his
decision to go to war. Prompted through conversations with the Kattiyakkaran
(Clown), his mood oscillates between fear that Bhima might find him and kill
him and anger and clinging to his position of power.
